He Wasn’t Prepared With What He Would Discover In His New Home

Published on 11/14/2020

Don’t we all want the very day that we ultimately own the house of our dreams? However, the guy we’re about to talk about actually got further than he negotiated when he bought the place. As he began exploring his new investment property, Christopher discovered something else that entirely changed his life. It was something that nobody in such an area expected to see. Please keep reading to find out what he discovered.

House of His Dreams

With intense curiosity, he began to explore, but he did not even realize that going down the terrifying tunnel meant that there would be no return. He kept going deeper down the tunnel, even though he was advised not to do so by the police officer and the realtor. He was interested in what was down there, so he didn’t care what he might find inside.

Investigating

Once Christopher’s theory was eventually completed, and all the proof was then available, he realized that his only choice was to get out and never return. What did he learn exactly when he started exploring his new place that the only choice left was to leave? He found it would be frightening because you wouldn’t leave your home that easily, especially Christopher, who just spent a fortune on it.

Investigating

Wandering The Woodland

Not so long ago, Christopher Wanliss bought a new house. He was delighted to finally have a spot he could call his own, sitting on 40 acres of woodland. Unbeknownst to him, he was about to come across some form of a gateway on the property he now owns.

However, it does seem like all this was what fate had in store for him. He visited his new estate and its surrounding environment for the first and only time. The climate was not smooth, and the plants and trees’ external structures were discarded. But that made it look a lot more stunning for the setting.

Autopilot

From both the birdsongs to the quietness of the trees, Christopher truly loved everything there. As his body and brain both went into autopilot mode, it wasn’t long before his feet began walking alone. Something managed suddenly to catch his attention. He was pretty uncertain of what could happen, so he decided to go ahead and try it out.

Was It A Tree?

While walking around his property, Christopher saw something that immediately caught his attention. He couldn’t see it from where he stood, so he wanted to check it out nearby. As he approached the object that caught his attention, it felt like he was in a sort of haze. Christopher identified it as something dark and small. What do you think it would be like?

Screenshot 16

Was It A Tree?

The Mysterious Structure

Initially, Christopher figured it was just a log, a tiny old tree in the woods that was darker than the rest. When he eventually got closer to the object, however, he figured out he was wrong. He couldn’t help but get so excited thinking about the item when he was approaching it. He found himself falling down a 3-foot ditch, to his horror.

Abandoned And Old

Christopher was perplexed by his fall, with leaves and dirt all over him. Shaking it all off, he stared at what was in front of him. He was dumbfounded by what he had seen! It seemed like Christopher had found a mine right on his property with how his world looked! The place looked old and deserted, so he wanted to find out what the structure’s secrets were.

The Walls

The exterior of the mine was moss-like, and it was hard to look in there. He seemed excited to be going on a great trip and went back home and got a lamp that would allow him to see just what was hidden inside. He was inquisitive because he did not care if it was even safe to go near this mine. He doesn’t know what is waiting for him too.

The Walls

The Walls

A Ton Of Mines

Christopher recalled the moment it had happened and said: “When we bought the house, nobody ever told us about the fact that the estate had a lot of mines on it. We sort of stumbled upon the gold mine one day, and that was it. When I first saw it, I was so excited that I almost fell over myself. The only thing that I could think about was Indiana Jones and underground railroads.”

A Bad Decision

At the time, he had no idea that this trip was the single worst choice he’d ever made. He went back to the entrance with his flashlight in hand as soon as he got what he wanted from his home. He found that he was holding his breath, and a few glitters on the walls greeted him. What could they possibly be?

A Bad Decision

Echoing Footsteps

The walls were muddy and appeared as if they would collapse to the ground at any given moment. His movements reverberated, and the entire soil that pressed the structure down could not help but think of it. He wanted to stay there for quite some time, and as he chose to take a flashlight and three fallback battery packs, this was evident.

Sparkling Material

He could not help but caress the stones’ shiny material as he was moving closer to the walls. He was thinking, “What if it was gold?” However, when he saw something that would change his little adventure’s direction right away, he completely forgot all about that.

Cold And Damp Inside

No matter what the weather outside was, the mine was cold and damp. Christopher easily found the 4-inch indention in the soil caused by the footprints he made. As there were fresh pools of water inside, it was as if there was a water source. As stagnant puddles in places like that might hold dangerous gases, he felt troubled.

The Sound Of An Echo

Even after he looked ahead, Christopher found it difficult to tell where the tunnel would end when he pointed the flashlight straight forward. In the tunnel, Christopher began to hear sounds echoing. As he was too curious to hesitate, he wanted to follow where the noise came from, but he did not realize that this was wrong.

Screenshot 20

The Sound Of An Echo

No Light, No Warmth

As he made his way down the dark tunnel, everything was tranquil. There was hardly any movement, not even air, warmth, or light at all. As if he were carrying the hilt of a sword on the way to war, he kept his flashlight tightly. The sounds got louder and louder as he proceeded. Somewhere down the road, he could hear old metal parts and machinery.

Something Hiding

He also began to hear voices! He couldn’t assume what they were saying either, but Christopher seemed bold enough to yell, “Who’s there?” His tone was the only response he got. He was stuffed with courage, and then he was driven to see if someone was there trying to hide. He’s just not going to give up fighting yet, and he’s eager to go deeper into the tunnel.

Old Ventilation System

Christopher’s boots sank deeper and deeper with every step that he took. He was surrounded by nothing but dirt and water. He found a system of ventilation that looked like it was going to fall apart. He also saw chains that were also low hanging. With each chain molding and rusting a lot more than the other, they were near each other.

Weird Energy

Suddenly, he felt odd, sensing some strange energy in the field. He felt something dragging him out, hinting that he was not even meant to be there in the first place. Nonetheless, he kept on following the water’s direction to find its source. Will he maybe find the sources of the voices there? Did anybody live there?

Finally Some Light

“The ambient temperature also seemed to drop all around me at this point suddenly, and I felt an even stronger negative presence ahead in the tunnel,” Christopher said. When he did turn around and discovered light close to the entrance, he was about 150 feet into the passageway. He was already pretty far from where he started, but he did not mind it at all.

Finally Some Light

Swinging

When he looked around, he was taken aback by what he was seeing! After being stunned and standing still for two seconds, his body responded abruptly. He jolted, grabbed onto the walls, and felt his claustrophobia grow stronger when a chain began swinging unexpectedly.

Swinging

Who Was There?

The chain was not swinging gently. It was swinging with force! He realized there was someone there, watching him. His heart pounded as he hurried back to the entrance as quickly as he could. He was well aware of the need to leave and speak to others about what he had learned. The question was, who could he possibly call concerning such problems?

Screenshot 6

Who Was There?

The First Call

Filled with anxiety and covered in sweat, Christopher made his way home. The first thing he did was grab his phone as soon as he got home and call the realtor. He told the realtor anything that happened, from the materials on the walls to the noises and voices he heard. The real estate agent told him that they would send someone to take a look.

Mining Hills

Christopher said, “When we went to ask about the place, we were finally told that the estate had been home to quite a lot of mining sites. A lot of mining was done in these hills at the turn of the century, and there are a lot of little mines that are scattered across the hills.” Despite feeling a bit better about the call, he suddenly felt chills. “This cannot be happening!” he said.

Dropping Temperatures and Flickering Lights

When he finished the call, Christopher was standing in his kitchen, but unexpectedly, his lights started to flicker. Once again, when he began to panic on the inside, he was filled with anxiety, but he tried to battle his panic, trying to slow down his rapid breathing. Before everything abruptly became pitch black, the flickering lights persisted for a while.

To The Thermostat

He ran straight away to the room’s main switch and switched it off and then back on. Nothing has occurred. Suddenly, Christopher felt a chill that wasn’t there earlier. He thought, out of nowhere, a breeze hit his face. He took the flashlight out of his pocket quickly and switched it on to look at his thermostat.

Quite The Temperature Drop

He observed the temperature falling dramatically inside with his breath creating a cloud in front of him. He couldn’t help but think how odd the whole thing was. He needed the power back on, so he went over to the circuit breaker. This whole incident, after all, could possibly just be a fuse that had burned out. But was it a fuse problem?

Screenshot 18

Technical Problems

When he examined the breaker with his flashlight, he found that there seemed to be nothing wrong. The main fuse looked just good, and it was all in check. As he inspected the box, he kept on flipping different switches on and off. That worked, luckily! He was relieved to learn that there was nothing sinister causing this to happen.

The Doorbell Rang

“Faulty wiring”, he said to himself as he tried to be calm at his best. He went back upstairs, picked up a glass of water and calmed down. He did hear the doorbell ring, however as soon as he arrived. And now, what will it be? Oh yeah, it may have been the guy sent by the realtor to check on the tunnel. Or could someone else be it?

Meet Mr. Rudall

Mr. Rudall was the man at the entrance. He clarified that because of Christopher’s call earlier, he was the man the real estate agent had sent. He was fascinated by the material found by Christopher in the tunnel, which is why he went there to see what the material could be.

The Calm Before The Storm

Christopher wanted to show Rudall at the entrance gate of the mine and started asking him to take care to mitigate risk to himself. As they strolled quietly through the wilderness, the sky seemed as greyish as it was before a storm. He was about to return to where he felt odd and strange stuff that he still had to validate what it was.

Troubling Words

As soon as they got to the mine, they both took out their flashlights. The light from the sparkling materials struck them in the face as this time they looked even more eye-catching. As he stepped up to the walls to get a closer look, Rudall could not hold on to his enthusiasm anymore. But when he looked back at Christopher, it seemed like something had been communicated to them by the mine. Rudall then said something disturbing to Christopher.

Troubling Words

Old Gossip

Rudall went on to inform Christopher that the mine was built long ago as a gold mine. As Rudall stared at the walls, it was clear that the gold had not been touched, and it was very evident that the miners were unable to complete the job and were instead stuck in the mine. The question was, why?

Abandoned Gold

Even though he was not aware of any particular gold mines before this one during the turn of the century, Rudall went ahead and explained the rumors about mining. Then why did the miners leave the mine untouched with all the gold? Nothing good came to mind, but Christopher was too curious to want to learn the truth.

Knock Knock

Once more, Christopher mustered his courage and went inside to investigate again. He had in mind only two things. Either he could find the gold, or he could very well be haunted by the mine. He prepared himself for the journey and walked in with extra batteries and a torch. The darkness embraced him as he once again made his way inside.

The Source Of The Water

Christopher was only able to make it 150 into the tunnel when he last went inside. But this time no matter what, he was adamant on going in. He realized that seeing it by himself was the only way for him to understand the truth. They eventually discovered the source of the water after they reached about 600 feet into the tunnel. Door. A door.

The Source Of The Water

Shivers

Christopher felt shivers down his spine as water dripped onto his forehead, blurring his vision. In spite of knowing that he would not receive a response, he took a heavy, sharp breath, knocking on the door. Finally, he wanted to open the door and earned the surprise of a lifetime.

A Different World Altogether

The space inside seemed like a whole different world. Regardless of the weather outside the room was freezing. When he touched them, he felt that the walls were colder and rougher than those outside. His claustrophobia was kicking in, making him want to escape quickly and head outside when something that baffled him struck his flashlight.

A Different World Altogether

Something Was Going On

Many destroyed objects were clustered together, but none of this made any sense. Who would decide, in their right minds, to leave all their property here? As it grew heavier, Christopher felt as if the air was pressing in on his chest. He was positive that there was something unusual going on, only that he didn’t know what it was.

Living Down There

When he inspected the mound, Christopher found a bedspring which was all rusty and broken. For him what he wanted to see was that. Surely someone was staying there, and it doesn’t seem like they’re in a rush to go anywhere else. Also, when something else caught his eye, he could not shake off a certain thought in his mind.

Living Down There

In Hiding

He discovered a hideaway of bricks, which definitely did little to console him. Within a mine underground, no one would need a hideaway door unless they were trying their hardest to hide something of importance. Curious again, Christopher went to the hole and found nothing there but he noticed something else on the walls as he was about to turn around.

Screenshot 22

In Hiding

A Brick Hideout

When he was shining his flashlight on the bricks, he saw some white scratches on the walls. Until he moved closer and had a better look, he found what was written there to be difficult to understand. He saw four vertical lines on the wall, which was a little strange, to say the least.

Nightmarish

He examined the lines that turned out to have been scratched. He felt like the scratches were made with fingertips as he rubbed his hands over them, as they were a little shallow but deep enough to mark the cement. Who was the one who wanted to flee the place? He saw another thing when he thought about this which would later pop up in his nightmares. What could he probably have seen?

Screenshot 2

Writing On The Wall

There were a lot of scratches found by Christopher that were not just lines on the wall from the opposite side. He wanted to record the writing he was unable to comprehend. He took his camera out and photographed it. Perhaps he would be able to use his computer later to learn more about this.

Chills Went Through His Body

Suddenly, he heard something that caused chills to run down his whole body. There was someone else with him inside. He aimed his flashlight towards the direction of the sound in an effort to see the source of the sound, but did not see anything. He turned around and kept checking the writing on the wall until he heard a clash of metal on his shoulder and felt a cold breeze.

He Sprinted

When all the heat in his body was dissipating, he began to feel as if he was only going into a cold bath. At first it almost started to sound like it was coming from behind him then from the front, so he couldn’t say it anymore, because it seemed from all directions. He was running for his life and it got louder, relatively close, and more frantic.

Running For His Life

As hard as he could, Christopher ran as he felt chills going down his spine. The only thing that happens in his mind is that he thinks that there was something really wrong with the place. His mind told him to keep still, but he was pulled to the mine entrance by his body. He had clutched his chest and collapsed by the time he got out.

So Right, It Was Wrong

He really ought to have known that something was so right that everything was wrong. An undisturbed mine of gold was nearly too good to be true. He pulled himself together after that and then went to his place. He now understands why, even though it had gold to sell, the laborers all left the mine.

Like A Madman

All around him was so quiet, it was as though all the sound of his footsteps were absorbed by the air. As if they were aware of how tense the situation was the trees weren’t rustling. Once again, he started running and he tried to figure out what was going on as soon as possible.

Help From Google

When he came to his residence, he jumped and completely closed himself in for his studies. Something peculiar was happening in the mine and he sought to figure out his queries. He enlisted internet help and support. He knew he was going to find something about it on the internet, even just a small detail about it.
