Even though she is very uncomfortable with crowded flights, she can’t do anything about it. Though she discovered that she can avoid the crowd most of the time by booking blank rows. This allowed her to be more comfortable. Sadly, this is not always possible.

She imagined the flight was almost full when she booked it. But she tried her luck by agreeing on the date of the flight and finally booking it. While checking in at the gates, she asked the clerk if somebody has canceled. The woman shooked her head and informed her that there were no extra seats left. She then expected that this was not going to be a pleasant trip.

In the past, Savannah’s experiences with crowded flights were unpleasant. She used to convince the clerks at the check-in gates to assign her to an empty row. However, that is not going to happen today because there were full passengers on this airplane. She tried negotiating by giving her reasons, but the woman at the desk could not grant her request. There was no way they can give her what she wanted, given the flight situation.

As she went to the boarding gate, she observed an unusual number of travelers in the terminal. She swears she can feel their eyes on her. Savannah was overwhelmed by the feeling of all the eyes staring at her. She did not like it at all. However, she toughened up and said to herself, “It will be over soon.” Unfortunately, she was having a hard time because her gut tells her something terrible was about to happen.

Soon enough, it was time to board the plane. Savannah witnessed a crowded cabin and felt the butterflies in her stomach as anxiety hits her. She felt relief when she found her seat. The clerk gave her a seat near a window, but the aisle seat was occupied already. When the man saw her on the aisle, he stood up and let her take her seat. While doing this, he made sure she can hear his dramatic sigh, implying his annoyance.

Savannah noticed the older man was wearing bright sunglasses. It was apparent how intolerant he was to fat people. And it’s probably the understatement of the year! He intends to show Savannah his disgust. He started typing on his tablet. Typically, this wouldn’t be a problem.

He went to the settings and turned the font size to the largest possible. He even changed the display to the brightest! He intended to show Savannah and let her understand precisely what he was thinking about their current situation. He made sure to show her a very explicit message. Eventually, he found out that Savannah was not the only person noticing her cruel little gesture.

She has always been a helpful person, so she asked him if there was anything wrong since he saw he’s maneuvering his mobile phone in her direction. He told her that he just needed to get a better angle for his smartphone. Obviously, this was a lie. He tried to type the last few words on his Facebook post. When she saw what he wrote, she was shocked.

The old man agreed even though he was stunned. After that, Chase struck up a conversation with Savannah.

Someone behind us says, “We are switching seats. They encouraged her that she was fine just the way she is. Most people hope that Savannah didn’t let the old man’s rude action affect her life in any way! People also did not forget to thank Chase for the simple heroic act he did. Indeed, however small, he should be applauded!
