When Courtney saw the scary man’s mugshot, she experienced an odd feeling in the pit of her stomach.

She discovered that the man had left enough money for his lunch when she opened the leather folder. Then, she saw the note that almost took her to her knees. Trying to conceal her tears but failing terribly, she burst into the rear room. Halfway through her meal, her manager saw that her employee was upset and assumed something horrible had happened.
